Kazuchika Okada to Defend AEW International Title Against Ace Austin on Dynamite
AEW International Champion Kazuchika Okada will defend his title Wednesday on AEW Dynamite against Ace Austin in the two competitors’ first-ever meeting. Okada has held the International Championship since All In: Texas last July — nearly 300 days — and this will mark his eighth title defense as he heads toward a scheduled rematch with former champion Konosuke Takeshita at Double or Nothing next month.
Ace Austin enters Fairfax on a four-match losing skid and this will be his third title opportunity across AEW’s recent stretch (following TNT and National title shots). Wednesday’s Dynamite also features multiple title matches, including AEW World Champion Darby Allin vs. Brody King, Women’s Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion vs. Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida, TNT Champion Kevin Knight vs. MJF, plus tag action with Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta.
