Naomichi Marufuji Teases Match With Seth Rollins After ‘Stomp’ Credit
A clip from WWE Backstage in 2019 has resurfaced showing Seth Rollins crediting Naomichi Marufuji for perfecting his finishing maneuver, the stomp, even admitting he “stole it” from the Japanese star. The segment has drawn renewed attention as fans and pundits discussed the lineage of the move and Marufuji’s influence on modern wrestlers.
Marufuji responded to the circulating footage on social media, thanking Rollins for the recognition and teasing that the two should settle the matter in the ring, writing, “We should have a match.” The exchange has sparked speculation about a potential dream match between the NJPW legend and the former WWE champion.
