Thekla to Defend AEW Women’s World Championship in Four-Way at Double or Nothing 2026

Published

on

AEW announced on the May 9 episode of Fairway to Hell that Thekla will put the AEW Women’s World Championship on the line in a four-way at Double or Nothing on May 24, 2026, at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens. The Austrian champion will defend against Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander, and Jamie Hayter in what promises to be a marquee women’s match on the pay-per-view card.

Thekla captured the title in February 2026 and enters Double or Nothing after roughly 88 days as champion; the four-way will mark her sixth title defense. The updated event card also features Kazuchika Okada vs. Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship, FTR vs. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in an “I Quit” match for the AEW World Tag Team Titles, and a Stadium Stampede with Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Jack Perry and The Young Bucks vs. The Demand, Mark Davis and a TBD opponent.

Mark Davis captures AEW National Championship at Fairway to Hell

Published

on

Mark Davis is the new AEW National Champion after pinning Jack Perry in the opening match of AEW Fairway to Hell on May 9, 2026. Don Callis called in a favor from Ricochet, who interfered with a golf club shot that cost Perry the title, giving Davis his first AEW singles championship.

Backstage, Callis and Davis met with Ricochet to plot an alliance between the Don Callis Family and Ricochet’s Demand for Double or Nothing, while Perry announced The Elite (Perry, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega) for the pay-per-view. The National Championship was established in November 2025 and defended across multiple promotions; Ricochet was the inaugural champion at Full Gear 2025 (113-day reign) and Perry won the title in the 21-man Blackjack Battle Royal at Revolution 2026 before losing it to Davis.
