Police Confirm No Stabbing at Berwyn Eagles Club After Ruthless Pro Wrestling Show
Berwyn police say there was no stabbing following the March 28 Ruthless Pro Wrestling event at the Eagles Club, according to an incident report obtained via FOIA by John Pollock of POST Wrestling. Initial videos showing wrestlers and fans confronting a man who approached performer Krule (Mads Krule Krugger) did not show a weapon, and the report notes Krule threw the first punches before the fan was swarmed.
Detective William Massuci’s report quotes the RPW manager saying the intoxicated fan had been warned earlier, then tackled and repeatedly punched Krule after the show; the manager stated Krule “was not stabbed.” Krule told police a fan struck and tackled him and that peers removed the fan, and the department closed the case after the wrestler declined to pursue charges. The Eagles Club announced it will stop booking pro wrestling due to licensing issues (AAW’s April 24 show will be its last), and a GoFundMe has been launched to help the venue; Pollock also reports the March 28 show was the final one under Chris Kohlenberg’s management, with Rickey Shane Page, SHLAK and Dred now running the promotion.
