Ric Flair Criticizes Charlotte’s WrestleMania 42 Tag Match, Urges Her Back to Singles Competition
Wrestling legend Ric Flair told The Ariel Helwani Show he was not a fan of his daughter Charlotte Flair’s WrestleMania 42 tag team match, saying he wants to see her back in singles contention. At WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas Charlotte teamed with Alexa Bliss against Lash Legend, Nia Jax, Brie Bella and a returning Paige — who replaced an injured Nikki Bella — with Brie and Paige ultimately capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Flair singled out Charlotte’s singles bout with Rhea Ripley two years earlier as a benchmark for women’s wrestling and suggested both competitors deserve gold, reiterating his belief that Charlotte should be featured in main-event singles storylines rather than tag competition.
