Ricky Starks Bids Emotional Farewell to NXT, Headed to SmackDown

Published

on

Ricky Starks, also known in NXT as Ricky Saints, delivered an emotional goodbye to NXT after his last match on April 28, a defeat to Shiloh Hill, as he prepares to move up to the main roster on Friday Night SmackDown. The 36-year-old made his WWE debut on the February 11, 2025 episode of NXT and captured both the NXT Championship and the NXT North American Championship during a successful year-long run.

In a heartfelt post-show promo Starks thanked the production team, backstage personnel and the NXT crowd for welcoming him, admitting the transition to WWE wasn’t easy but that he gave everything for the business. Breaking character, he expressed genuine gratitude for the fan support—shirt purchases and chants included—and asked that fans tune in to watch him on SmackDown this Friday.

WWE Still Undecided on EVIL’s New Ring Name Despite Trademark Filing

Published

on

WWE is reportedly still trying to decide on what EVIL’s new ring name will be, despite a recent trademark filing suggesting the company had already made a choice. The conflicting signals underscore the complexities of rebranding a talent while balancing legal filings and creative direction.

While the trademark activity suggested a definitive move, sources indicate no final name has been officially adopted and discussions are ongoing. Fans should expect WWE to confirm the new moniker once the company completes its internal decision-making and branding steps.

WWE has announced four new additions to its Performance Center rookie class, headlined by Zoe Hines, the niece of U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. A Boston College graduate and former college softball player who has represented France at both senior and U22 levels, Hines participated in last year’s SummerSlam weekend tryouts and was reported to have signed with WWE earlier this year.

Joining Hines are Alyssa Daniele, who attended January tryouts and has a background in modeling; Garrett Beck, a former lacrosse player at Grand Canyon University who signed a WWE NIL deal nearly a year ago; and Nicholas Panicali, a former Sacred Heart University volleyball standout.
