Rob Parker Questions Why Grown Men Follow Wrestling After ESPN’s WrestleMania Coverage
Fox Sports host Rob Parker, on his program The Odd Couple, expressed surprise that mainstream outlets like ESPN would cover WrestleMania and questioned why grown men are drawn to professional wrestling. Parker said he was “just shocked to see ESPN,” noting the involvement of Pat McAfee and Stephen A. Smith and calling the attention a “big ordeal.”
Parker added he saw online reaction with people “ripping it,” and his remarks highlight the continuing divide over how traditional sports media should treat sports entertainment. The comments reignite the broader conversation about wrestling’s place in mainstream sports coverage and public perception.
