Roman Reigns Teases WWE Exit if He Falls to CM Punk at WrestleMania 42
In an in-character interview released on WWE’s YouTube channel, Roman Reigns told Michael Cole that the stakes are personal for his WrestleMania 42 main event against CM Punk. Reigns said a victory would help bring WWE back to relevancy, but warned, “If I lose to CM Punk at WrestleMania, I don’t belong in the WWE anymore,” adding that a loss would mean his work is done.
With Reigns’ contract reportedly set to expire soon after WrestleMania unless he signs an extension, the champion insisted he still has a lot to offer and feels physically strong at 40 as he looks to maximize his earnings. The World Heavyweight Championship is on the line, and a win would mark Reigns’ first WWE title since dropping the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.
