Santino Marella Undergoes Successful Sleep Apnea Surgery
TNA star Santino Marella announced via Instagram that he underwent successful sleep apnea surgery, posting a photo with a bandage over his nose. Marella said the procedure should allow him to sleep properly for the first time in about 30 years and touted benefits including better recovery, improved blood oxygen levels, less brain fog, more energy, reduced inflammation and lower cortisol; he admitted he’s still feeling rough but expects to see improvements in the coming days.
Marella had been serving as Director of Authority in TNA before being kayfabe suspended by Daria Rae on Thursday’s Impact ahead of Rebellion. His daughter, Arianna Grace, is scheduled to defend the TNA Knockouts World Title against Lei Ying Lee at Rebellion.
