Shady Elnahas Confirms New WWE Ring Name Shido Ash
WWE filed trademarks this week for “Shido Ash” and “The Mog Squad,” and NXT prospect Shady Elnahas confirmed via Instagram that his new in-ring name will be Shido Ash. Elnahas signed with WWE in May 2025, joined the Performance Center and has been appearing at NXT house shows while he awaits his televised debut.
A decorated judoka and Olympian, Elnahas is a Commonwealth Games, Pan American Games and IJF Grand Slam gold medalist and recently faced Tyriek Igwe at an NXT house show in Lakeland, Florida. He is dating SmackDown star Tiffany Stratton, who won Money in the Bank, captured the WWE Women’s Championship, lost it to Jade Cargill in November 2025 after a 300+ day reign, and returned to this year’s Royal Rumble as the 30th entrant.
