Shawn Michaels says The Undertaker is doing a “fantastic” job behind the scenes in Lucha Libre AAA, calling it both ironic and poetic to see the once-stoic Deadman fully embrace the lucha libre world. Michaels — who serves as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development, Creative and oversees NXT — praised Undertaker’s intelligence and creative contributions, noting that both men have found renewed purpose in giving back to the industry behind the curtain.

Michaels made the remarks as his Peacock documentary “The Heartbreak Kid: Becoming Shawn Michaels” premiered, a film that chronicles his rise to stardom, battles with addiction, and road to recovery; The Undertaker was among those interviewed for the project. Michaels added that seeing veteran talent like Undertaker involved in creative roles and visiting the Performance Center helps rekindle that passion to mentor and develop the next generation.
