Maclin described a hard-hitting exchange that culminated in a kick and a whiplash-style impact to the side of his neck that left his body unresponsive even though his head felt “normal,” forcing an immediate medical stoppage.

Maclin praised referee Alicia for spotting the problem and calling for the X, and said TNA President Carlos Silva recognized the injury pattern from his MMA background.
