TNA TV Taping Spoilers From Syracuse: Mustafa Ali Retains, Broken Matt Hardy Returns

TNA Wrestling taped television on April 14 at the Upstate Medical University Arena in Syracuse. In the main event Mustafa Ali retained the TNA International Championship over Adam Brooks, while Jeff Hardy defeated Vincent following a lights-out reveal of Broken Matt Hardy. Other taped results included Elijah defeating Frankie Kazarian in a Walk With Elijah match, KC Navarro pinning AJ Francis, Elayna Black over Sofia Rose, The Righteous defeating The Verdict, and Jada Stone beating Tasha Steelz.

The show advanced multiple angles heading into May, with Leon Slater proclaiming he will become the longest-reigning X-Division Champion on May 15 and booking Cedric Alexander for a title opportunity on May 14. The System continued to feud with Slater, Cedric and Moose, Eddie Edwards cut a promo about Moose, Mustafa Ali issued an open challenge, and vignettes involving Rosemary and Tessa Blanchard set up an undead-era brawl; Nic Nemeth appeared on commentary and got into it with AJ Francis. TNA will tape additional shows at the same venue on Wednesday.
