Tony Khan Calls Thekla the MVP of AEW’s New Signings
AEW President Tony Khan singled out Thekla as the “MVP” of the promotion’s 2025 signings during an appearance on The Masked Man Show, praising her rapid ascent to AEW Women’s World Champion less than a year after debuting. Khan highlighted Thekla’s feud with Jamie Hayter — Hayter was her first rival in AEW — and said he’s excited for their title bout at AEW Dynasty on April 12.
Khan also praised his new trios champions Mistico, Speedball Bailey and Kevin Knight as “fantastic signings,” noting their diverse backgrounds and strong chemistry as a unit. The trio will defend the AEW World Trios Championships against The Dogs on Collision on April 11, and Khan singled out Speedball Bailey for his breakout run.
