Tony Khan Targets Guadalajara and Major European Cities for Future AEW Shows
AEW President Tony Khan told the Battleground podcast he’s targeting new international and domestic markets, singling out Guadalajara, Mexico, and major European cities — France, Italy and Germany — as places the promotion has yet to visit. Khan also said AEW is considering staging pay-per-views in U.S. markets where the company has previously held television tapings but not a PPV.
AEW made its Mexico debut last June alongside CMLL and is expected to return later in 2026 for an AEW Grand Slam Mexico event, with Khan noting there are still “a lot of great cities” in Mexico and Europe with passionate fanbases. The full interview with Khan is available on the Battleground podcast.

Matt Hardy: TNA compensated talent pulled from matches against AEW stars
One of the most anticipated bouts during WrestleMania weekend — Ricochet vs. Leon Slater at the WrestleCon Supershow — was abruptly removed from the card a week before the event after TNA President Carlos Silva cited “partner conflicts” as the reason. The decision drew immediate attention given the high-profile nature of the matchup and the continued interest in cross-promotional encounters.
Speaking with Ariel Helwani, Matt Hardy addressed the fallout and said Silva had compensated talent who were pulled from TNA matches against AEW stars. Hardy’s comments underscore ongoing tensions around inter-promotional bookings and raise questions about how such conflicts are being handled for talent and promoters alike.

Chris Jericho Says He Auditioned for Nick Offerman’s Role in Margo’s Got Money Troubles
On a recent episode of his Talk Is Jericho podcast, Chris Jericho revealed he originally auditioned for the role Nick Offerman ultimately plays in Apple TV+’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles, but the casting team liked his read and asked him to do more than be a background presence. The comedy-drama premiered April 15 and also stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman; Jericho said the positive response to his performance has encouraged him to pursue additional acting opportunities.
Outside of his screen work, Jericho made his AEW return on the April 1 edition of Dynamite after nearly a year away and competed at AEW Dynasty against Ricochet, while noting his contract with the promotion is set to expire at year’s end and has fueled speculation about his future. Between his renewed in-ring activity and growing TV roles, Jericho says he hopes to expand his acting career further going forward.
