Trick Williams Recounts Breaking Brother’s Collarbone During Childhood Wrestling Accident

On the What’s Your Story? podcast with Stephanie McMahon, Trick Williams recalled a frightening childhood incident when a bodyslam off the bed left his younger brother Hassan with a broken collarbone. Williams said he was 10 and Hassan was seven, parents were not home, and the scream afterward made him fear his brother was paralyzed; he later informed their older brother Andre and stressed that “don’t try these moves at home” is sound advice. Williams added that Hassan is doing fine now.

Williams also spoke about his gratitude for his current run on the main roster, living with fiancée Lash Legend and enjoying his first months on SmackDown after moving over from NXT in January. He recently made his WrestleMania debut and captured the United States Championship by defeating Sami Zayn, calling the transition and early success “more than I could’ve pictured.”
