Wendy Choo Captures Vacant WWE Evolve Women’s Championship
Wendy Choo became the new WWE Evolve Women’s Champion on Wednesday’s Evolve TV, winning a gauntlet that was held after Kendal Grey vacated the title upon moving to WWE NXT. Choo entered fourth and outlasted Nikkita Lyons, Laynie Luck, Tyra Mae Steele, PJ Vasa, Karmen Petrovic, Sloane Jacobs and inaugural champion Kali Armstrong to earn the victory.
Choo’s final eliminations saw her counter a tiger bomb attempt from Lyons with a roll-through for the pin, marking her first WWE title at any level and her first championship since 2017. Armstrong originally won the belt in April 2025 and held it for 151 days before losing to Grey in September 2025; Grey went undefeated as champion and relinquished the title after a defense against Steele, a match Choo previously failed to win in January.
