WrestleCon Supershow Announces New Main Event Featuring Ricochet and The Demand
WrestleCon revealed that Ricochet will now team with his Demand stablemates, the GOA, to take on JetSpeed and Michael Oku as the main event of the 2026 Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow. In announcing the change the group thanked Tony Khan and AEW for making exceptions to clear the match, noting that wrestlers, management and agents all helped put the bout together.
The matchup replaces an originally advertised interpromotional singles dream match between Ricochet and TNA’s Leon Slater, who was pulled days after initial clearance amid cited “partner conflicts.” The change came alongside other pulled bookings — including a planned MJF vs. Nic Nemeth date — which drew public criticism from MJF directed at TNA President Carlos Silva over the removals.

WWE Has Yet to Reach Initial Goal After AAA Acquisition, Dave Meltzer Reports
On an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said WWE has not yet achieved the objectives it set following last year’s acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. Meltzer indicated that the integration and strategic milestones tied to the purchase remain a work in progress.
His comments add to industry scrutiny over the timeline and overall impact of WWE’s expansion into the Mexican market, where AAA’s roster and brand are viewed as significant assets. WWE has not publicly confirmed whether it has revised its expectations or adjusted its plan for leveraging AAA.

WWE/TKO Reportedly Seeking Major Pay Cuts for Talent
Two reports indicate WWE and its new parent company TKO have been asking contracted talent to accept pay reductions, with one rumor suggesting cuts could be as high as 50 percent. The outreach is said to affect performers across multiple tiers as the company reviews payroll and operational expenses.
If accurate, the proposed cuts could reshape contract talks and talent retention amid TKO’s restructuring, raising questions about morale and long-term roster depth. WWE has not issued a public confirmation as discussions are reportedly ongoing.
