Adam Copeland Open to AEW Backstage Role, Embraces Locker Room Mentoring Ahead of Double or Nothing
Adam Copeland says he loves working in AEW and isn’t ruling out a post‑wrestling role with the company when his in‑ring career concludes. Speaking ahead of Double or Nothing, where he and Christian Cage challenge FTR for the AEW Tag Team Titles in an “I Quit” match, Copeland said he’d be open to discussing backstage or creative duties with Tony Khan but also acknowledged he might simply step back and pursue acting or downtime.
The 52‑year‑old veteran praised AEW’s locker room atmosphere and said he’s happy to mentor younger stars like Darby Allin and Will Ospreay while still competing, calling the mix of experience levels a major strength. Copeland and Cage say they’re proud of how they’ve reinvented their team, and the high‑stakes stipulation—if they lose they can no longer team together—adds urgency to their title bid at Double or Nothing.
