AEW Has No Plans for Madison Square Garden Despite Talent Interest
Several AEW wrestlers have referenced Madison Square Garden in recent weeks, sparking fan speculation about a potential future show at the iconic New York venue. Mentions from talent have amplified interest online, but those comments have not translated into concrete booking plans.
AEW has confirmed it currently has nothing scheduled at Madison Square Garden, and there are no announced plans to take the promotion to the arena. For now, MSG remains a topic of conversation among wrestlers and fans rather than a lock on the AEW calendar.

Christopher Daniels on Why Hangman Page Was His Final Opponent
Christopher Daniels revealed he chose Hangman Page for his retirement match because Page’s character work at the time could generate significant heat, originally planning a finish where Page would injure or retire him to elevate the feud. Daniels explained to Michael Bochicchio that Page’s transition from heel to babyface altered the intended ramifications, but the two adjusted the storytelling while Daniels praised Page for delivering one of the most powerful promos setting up the bout.
Daniels concluded a 32-year career in 2025, losing to Page in a Texas Death Match on the January 16 edition of Collision, and has since taken on backstage roles with AEW and ROH. He credited Page’s character evolution and promo work as central to how the match played out and how it ultimately became a memorable sendoff in his career.
