AEW Stars Pushing for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods Following WWE Exits
Following WrestleMania 42, reports emerged that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods had mutually agreed to part ways with WWE amid contract restructuring by WWE and TKO. Fightful Select reports nearly a dozen AEW sources are pushing for the duo to sign with All Elite Wrestling, calling the pair “universally respected” and expected to join once their 90-day non‑compete expires.
AEW star Bobby Lashley recently said he’d welcome Kingston and Woods and warned that adding them to The Hurt Syndicate would make the group “just unstoppable,” praising the pair as “amazing talent” he’d like to work with again. With multiple AEW figures reportedly lobbying for them, a competitive push to sign The New Day appears likely once they are free to join another promotion.
