Andrew’s TNA ¡MPACT! Results and Match Ratings: 5.28.2026

With a month until Slammiversary, this seems a little awkwardly timed to have both Knockouts and Men’s Champions versus Challengers matches tonight. Since the Challengers gimmick in TNA is that IF a Challenger gets the pinfall over a champion, they’re entitled to a shot at the gold, even if they weren’t already in the mix.

So maybe that means we’ll get a surprising finish to one of these matches and have to have an “early” title defense for someone.

Results:

Eric Young, Frankie Kazarian, Elijah, KC Navarro & Leon Slater vs Cedric Alexander, Bear Bronson, Brian Myers, Mustafa Ali & Mike Santana w/Lish & Tasha

Elijah starts with Myers, and after merely a couple Punches and a Shoulder Block, he does the Walk With Elijah spot, which is insanely stupid. Myers lets it happen, but letting a dude hold your hand, lift himself up the ropes and walk, 40 seconds into the match, is just stupid. We go to commercial super quickly. Coming back from commercial, Elijah is still in the ring, but with Santana. Mirror Match Arm Wringers, rope run, trips and attempts at moves while the other is down, but counters and didges everywhere. The feeling out party makes sense between two Babyfaces.

They take a moment to smirk and admire the other, before they tie back up, Eric Young attacks Santana, Elijah admonishes Eric but Kaz steals a tag in and tries to take advantage of Santana, but Santana fights him off. Santana gouges the eye to tag back in Elijah, and as Santana is trying to see, Mustafa tags himself in and starts working over Elijah. Elijah catches Ali in a Pop-Up Powerbomb, Cedric slowly saunters in and does just enough to count as a pinfall break. Things then devolve into a Donnybrook. Everyone is brawling with everyone on the outside except Leon because of course he needs to do his Turnbuckle spot because no moves can ever be saved for matches that actually matter.

Coming back from the second commercial, Cedric and Myers are trying to Suplex Elijah, but Elijah counters it. Santana clocks Ali and takes the tag from Myers, Elijah throws Kaz is as a tag and Santana starts attacking the heels. Rolling Buck Fifty and a Plancha for EY. Kaz is still rocked in the ring, Santana goes for a Frog Splash but Kaz moves. Ali blind tags as Santana hits a Rolling Buck Fifty and Ali hits the Rolling Neckbreaker as a very nice 1-2 punch. KC takes the tag from Kaz, Big Missile Dropkick to both Santana and Ali. KC trips Ali into the ropes, Satellite DDT, and KC wants to tag in Leon, but Ali ties him up and tags out to Bear. Bear starts beating on KC saying “Bless This”, Gorilla Press from Bear, he chucks KC halfway across the ring for a near fall. Ali forces the tag cutting off Myers, but KC slips away from Ali and Leon is in, wipes out the heels on the other side, Rebound Heel Kick but Cedric breaks up the pinfall.

Kaz has moves for Cedric and Myers, but Bear eats Kaz, Elijah knocks down Bear with the Knee Lift, EY and Santana spill out, Ali charges and eats the turnbuckle in a way only he has been able to pull off nicely. Leon hits the Swanton 450, but Lish grabs Ali’s foot and places it on the bottom rope! Tasha gives Ali the belt, Ali misses, the referee disarms him and tags out to KC, BLESSING IN DISGUISE! KC NAVARRO HAS AN INTERNATIONAL TITLE SHOT!

Tessa Blanchard vs Harley Hudson

It’s nice to see Harley getting some time, Myla has had a few matches, we need to see more Harley as well. 

Harley tries to get in a little personality and British quirk after a Shoulder Tackle and Big Boot, licking her finger and touching her hip, rubbing her abs, and putting a lot of focus on her physique, which is wonderful, but it’s not me objectifying…much. Tessa however shows off her short fuse and grabs a heel hook, punches the knee and drives it into the floor with a Fisherman Knee Buster of sorts. She takes Harley back into the ring, works the knee over multiple times, Indian Deathlock, transition into a Grounded Butterfly Lock. Tons of aggravation, and torque on the knee. Tessa is dissecting Harley, but Harley is trying to fight back while hobbled.

Tessa grinds the wrist tape across Harley’s face, but Harley finally fires up, trying to get the knee to work, but shows her power while nursing the bad knee, holding Tessa on one leg and then hitting the Sack of Shit. Hip Attack from Harley, but Tessa kicks out. The fight up the buckles, Tessa tries the Sunset Bomb, Harley fights it off, but Tessa takes out the legs. Tessa tries to pull off Harley, but Harley slams Tessa’s face into a buckle, Tessa manages to rock Harley leaving her prone in the corner, Magnum! Tessa only gets a two, so Tessa starts to snap, but Harley shows her power, countering a Powerbomb into a Back Body Drop, slaps, Smack Talk, Harley tries to counter the Buzzsaw into a Cradle, but only two. They wrestle for position, but Tessa hits a Chop Block on the bad leg, Buzzsaw and drops her challenger.

Stacks w/Arianna Grace vs Santino Marella

Collar and Elbow tie up, Santino picks a leg but Stacks immediately retreats to the ropes and powders to Arianna. Stacks tries to come in for a kick, but Santino catches him, Cradle into a Front Chancery, then another, into a Headlock Takeover and near fall. A lot of good mat work, Armbar attempt but Stacks keeps close to the ropes like a wuss and powders again.

Stacks finally catches Santino with an Elbow because he can’t outwrestle him, but Up and Over, Arm Drags, and then Santino slides on his knees to grab another hold but Stacks continues to retreat like the manchild he is. Santino does his Split to avoid the Lariat, his Salute Splash, but Stacks gets his knees up and finally Santino is trying to catch his breath and getting worked over. Sternum first into the buckles, and Stacks is arrogant, taking his time to hit follow up offense. Then he goes over for a kiss from Arianna and very simple things like Kitchen Sinks, he finally tries to mix it up, goes for the Polish Hammer but Santino gets his knees up. Santino with a few wind-up punches and two Kitchen Sinks of his own as payback.

Shoulder Tackle in the corner, Cobra gets summoned, but Arianna grabs his hand, Stacks gets the Cradle and the pinfall.

Frankly a dumb finish. The referee could see her grabbing the arm, Stacks is supposed to look like a dweeb of course, but looking like a jobber to a part time comedy wrestler…Stacks looks less credible than Dink the Clown. Indi makes the save when Arianna and Stacks try to attack Santino. Indi wants a mixed tag, but Daria walks out and says it’s not happening tonight and Stacks won fair and square. 

She has a second thought though. Daria makes the match for next week. While I don’t mind undercard stories, this match proved they don’t know how to write it correctly. Stacks looks more useless than a Performing Arts degree. 

Eddie Edwards w/Lish vs Fabian Aichner

Slow tie ups, but Fabian flips the hips and grabs a Headlock and rides Eddie down a few times. A Springboard Crossbody and a Lariat sending Eddie crashing, Baseball Slide follow up, but Eddie dodges, tries to take advantage, but everything Eddie tries, Fabian has an answer before laying out Eddie on the floor. Fabian throws Eddie back in, but Lish causes just enough of a distraction, for Eddie to push the feet causing Fabian to crash and burn instead of a another Springboard, and some deliberate offense, Kobashi Chop into a Heavy Irish Whip. Eddie continues the deliberate pace, a little insulting slap before a one count. Eddie gets a few punches blocked, and Fabian connects with an Uppercut, Big Boot, Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker, and Eddie eats a Brainbuster but gets the shoulder up at two.

Powerbomb attempt, but Eddie slams Fabian into the corner to get some space, Enzuigiri, Backpack Stunner, but only two! Eddie chokes him on the ropes, then grabs the ref’s attention so Lish chokes him a few times. Eddie dumps Fabian out, Lish grabs Kendra, but the referee catches her and kicks Lish out! Eddie is distraught, this has gone on for a bit so Fabian has plenty of recovery time, but the Avalanche Butterfly Suplex takes entirely too long with no stunning strikes. Only a near fall, but it was an overly cooperative looking dumb spot. The rest of The System walks out so Fabian hits the Escalara Crossbody in The System, Springboard DDT, Aichner hits La Vigna, but System attacks him for the DQ.

Lei Ying Lee, M by Elegance & Heather by Elegance w/Mr. Elegance & Concierge vs Mara Sade, Elayna Black & Xia Brookside w/Keith Jardine

Coming off a starting commercial we see Lei in the ring with Xia, but Xia tags out to Elayna, Elayna then does the same thing and tags out to Mara, so Mara and Lei shake hands and we get the only two Babyfaces in the ring with each other.

Locomotion Cradles and Backslides, a little janky but honestly not awful given that we don’t get many chances to see Mara legit wrestle. Maggie tags herself in and Mara takes her head off with a Slingblade. Maggie hits the Rebound Back Kick, tags in Heather, but Mara holds the ropes and tags in Elayna with a Chop. Elayna and Heather start going back and forth, a Goomba Stomp gets her a two count, Heather gets tripped into the ropes, Elayna Hip Attack in the back, Xia tags herself in for the Double Knees while Heather is still hung up and Xia is bouncing her all around the ring.

Heather manages to trip Xia into the corner, Stomps, Hesitation Dropkick after tagging Maggie in, and Maggie hits a Coast to Coast! Everyone is in, heels get chucked to the outside, Mara dives on the Elegantos, Lei dives on Xia and Elayna, so the babyfaces get the pop as we go to the final commercial of the night.

Back from the commercial, Mara is tossing Heather around like a ragdoll, she does a sexy Body Roll before a Knee Drop, and gets a nearfall. Mara wants her Lita Sault, but M and Heather cut her off, Codebreaker from Heather for a nearfall. Heather tags in Maggie and the Elegantos have plenty of quick tags to keep Mara on the receiving end, while her tag partners just watch. Lei is offering her hand for tags, but the Elegantos are ignoring her. So Lei is trying to play nice, as a good babyface does.

M is in Snapmare, Senton, quick tag back to Heather and a neat little tandem Suplex. Mara finally starts fighting back, but Heather uses the hair and Maggie tags back in, as they continue to ignore Lei. Bow and Arrow from Maggie, but Mara is starting to fire. Mara finally knocks down both Elegantos, Mara tags Xia in, Lei gets the tag finally and Kicks for everyone. Side Kicks, Thrust Kicks, Crescent Kicks into the 10 Count Down Strikes and a Snap Suplex. Only a two count, but Lei gets Xia up for Warrior’s Way, and connects! Elayna breaks up the pinfall, and now it’s mayhem signature spam time.

Keith Jardine grabs Mr Elegance in an Ankle Lock, before the Concierge hits him and Jardine chases Concierge to the back. Lei tries another Warrior’s Way, but Xia pushes her into Mr. E, Mr. E trips up Lei, so she stumbles into Xia’s grasp and Darkside connects, Xia wins.

Overall Score: 3.5/10

KC winning was nice, as a fan of KC, but these Challenge matches being so far from Slammiversary was an obvious indicator that some shenanigans would happen. Stacks is a ruined character, you can’t have him get completely dominated by a part time, twice his age, semi-retired comedy act and think that “being a heel” is legitimate enough cover to save his gimmick. This was painfully embarrassing for him. Disco Inferno losing to Jaqueline in WCW would’ve done less damage to his credibility than this atrocity exhibition.  Harley looked okay, but since there’s no story or real momentum for her it was just a throwaway decent match. Aichner’s match was marred by the “modern” style of overly cooperative stupid spots, bad pacing and over booking just to make sure Aichner could “get over” without hurting Eddie. Stupid, nothing burger of a match.

The Knockouts Match makes absolutely no sense because you already have an angle where Xia and Lei have issues. Xia doesn’t need to win some silly gimmick match for a title shot because the story implied she was getting a shot anyway. So talk about the most idiotic and unnecessary finish in the history of modern wrestling. Whoever books this crap needs to be fired. I’d gladly accept 3 monkeys with crayons, humping a body pillow of Rei Ayanami, over whoever thinks this is how to book wrestling.
