Anthony Bowens pitches AEW revival of “Tough Enough” concept
Anthony Bowens took to social media Tuesday to suggest that AEW revive the “Tough Enough” concept, a reality-driven tryout series WWE last produced in 2015. Bowens framed the idea as a way for AEW to generate additional content and shine a light on up-and-coming talent, noting the format’s long absence from television.
In his pitch, Bowens volunteered to serve as a judge or trainer, arguing the show could boost development, fan engagement, and AEW’s programming slate. The proposal highlights a growing interest across the industry in blending talent development with entertainment-focused content to expand audience reach.
