Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca Added to WWE Clash in Italy for Women’s Intercontinental Title

Becky Lynch will defend the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Sol Ruca at WWE Clash in Italy on May 31 in Turin after last Saturday’s Saturday Night’s Main Event ended in chaos. Lynch caused a disqualification in their non-title bout by shoving referee Jessika Carr into Ruca’s path, and after the bell the enraged champion attacked Ruca with multiple manhandle slams; backstage Nick Aldis informed Lynch that Raw GM Adam Pearce had added the Intercontinental title match to next Sunday’s card.

Ruca, who has yet to score a pinfall since her main roster call-up and has lost to the likes of Liv Morgan and IYO SKY, challenged Lynch on Raw after being dismissed — Lynch initially objected to putting the title on the line but will now make the defense. The Clash in Italy card also includes Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther for the WWE Championship, Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu in a Tribal Combat match for the World Heavyweight title, and Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship.
