Benchmark International Area Advertises John Cena For WWE Backlash
Benchmark International Area, which will host WWE Backlash on May 9 in Tampa, is advertising “JOHN CENA RETURNS TO TAMPA AT BACKLASH!” on its website. WWE has not officially confirmed Cena’s involvement, but Cena previously hinted he may have “something epic” for the event and mentioned a special appearance tied to WWE’s Club WWE fan experience.
Backlash is set to be headlined by World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns defending against Jacob Fatu, who will meet Reigns face-to-face on Monday ahead of the pay-per-view. The current card also lists Trick Williams vs. Sami Zayn for the U.S. Title, IYO SKY vs. Asuka, Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker, and The Miz & Kit Wilson vs. Danhausen and a partner to be announced.
