AEW revealed the full bracket for the women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament on Dynamite, featuring surprise debuts from Sareee and Stardom star Hazuki alongside reigning CMLL Women’s Champion Persephone. Questions arose after Sareee announced a month off for “neck maintenance” and Persephone was pulled from ROH Supercard of Honor; Sareee is slated to face Skye Blue while Persephone is booked against Hazuki, with those matches on opposite sides of the bracket. Persephone last wrestled on the April 22 Collision in a tag match and had been scheduled for the first-ever women’s Survival of the Fittest before being removed.

AEW president Tony Khan told media at Supercard of Honor that both Sareee and Persephone are expected to compete in the tournament as planned, but their quarterfinals will likely be pushed into June rather than held immediately, with the eight-woman finals set for late June at Forbidden Door. Bryan Alvarez reported that as of Wednesday night all participants were still expected to compete.

AEW has expressed “real” interest in working with Mick Foley this year, The Takedown on SI reports, though it remains unclear whether the promotion would sign him to a contract or bring him in for a one-off appearance. Foley is currently under a WWE Legends deal but will not renew when it expires next month, reportedly due to objections over WWE’s close relationship with President Donald Trump, and he has made recent appearances for OVW and GCW.

Sources told The Takedown they would not be surprised if Foley showed up at AEW Double or Nothing on May 24 at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York — Foley’s home state — where MJF defends his hair against AEW World Champion Darby Allin. Foley had considered a farewell match with MJF for his 60th birthday but scrapped in-ring plans after a 2024 concussion; he is meanwhile involved in several Hollywood projects, including a limited series with Paul Walter Hauser attached and voice work for an A24 death-match documentary.
