Big E Confirmed to Remain with WWE, Will Continue on PLE Kickoff Shows
Following the departures of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods after WrestleMania 42, Big E has been identified internally by WWE as a “valuable presence” and a “key reason” behind the success of the promotion’s PLE Kickoff shows, according to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select. WWE plans to keep Big E in that broadcast role on future pay-per-view kickoff shows amid roster changes.
Big E has been sidelined from in-ring competition since suffering a neck injury years ago and has primarily worked on the broadcast side while his in-ring future remains unconfirmed. He has previously said he was leaning toward retirement after medical advice urged caution, though WWE will continue to utilize him in a non-wrestling capacity for the time being.
