Brick Savage Signs Multi-Year Deal with MLW
Fightful Select reports that independent standout Brick Savage has signed a multi-year deal with Major League Wrestling (MLW), a major move for the rising talent as he transitions to the national stage.
Savage most recently faced Mad Dog Connelly at GCW’s Effy’s Big Gay Brunch 11 and has been a regular on the independent circuit, appearing for GCW, New Texas Pro, REVOLVER and other promotions. Further details about his MLW debut and role have not been announced.

Jake Hager Returning to the Ring at WWC Aniversario 53
World Wrestling Council has announced that Jake Hager will make his return to the ring at WWC Aniversario 53, the promotion’s 53rd anniversary event taking place on June 27 at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan. The booking brings a high-profile name to the milestone show and is sure to draw attention from fans of Hager’s work in AEW and beyond.
Details on Hager’s opponent and the rest of the Aniversario 53 card have not yet been released, but WWC’s announcement signals the promotion is building momentum ahead of next month’s event. Fans can expect additional match announcements as the June 27 date approaches.

BTS Attends CMLL at Arena Mexico as Místico Wears BTS Jacket
South Korean supergroup BTS attended CMLL’s Friday, May 8 show at Arena Mexico, with members Suga, Jimin, Jungkook and Jin watching from the front row in masks. Místico gave the band a shout-out by entering the main event wearing a BTS jacket before teaming with Titán to defeat Ángel de Oro and Bárbaro Cavernario; Titán later thanked Suga for wearing his mask in a social media post.
BTS are on a world tour that included Mexico City and will continue to California and Las Vegas with multiple shows at Allegiant Stadium, the WrestleMania host venue. CMLL, which drew over a million fans to Arena Mexico in 2025 and earned several Wrestling Observer awards including Promotion of the Year and Místico as Wrestler of the Year, continues to attract high-profile visitors and cross-promotional events.
