Charlotte Flair Used “The Queen” Persona as Personal Armor
WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair explained that her on-screen identity as “The Queen” once served as a form of personal armor, allowing her to deflect criticism and manage the intense pressures of life in sports entertainment. The regal character gave her a clear, confident framework to perform inside the ring while keeping parts of her private life at a distance.
Flair acknowledged that leaning on that persona was a coping mechanism early in her career, but she also suggested her approach has evolved as she’s grown both personally and professionally. That shift toward showing more vulnerability has resonated with fans and could influence how her character develops in future WWE storylines.
