CMLL Batalla de Naciones in Puebla Features Several Former WWE Names
Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre ran the Batalla de Naciones show this week at Arena Puebla, bringing a mix of Mexican stars and recognizable ex-WWE talent to the card. The show featured KUSHIDA, Austin Aries, Trevor Lee, Donovan Dijak and Bishop Dyer (formerly Baron Corbin) among the participants, providing international intrigue for the Puebla crowd.
On the results front, Asturiano & Makro defeated Rencor & Multy, while Meyer & Astro bested Prayer & Rey Apocalipsis and Okumura scored a win over Stigma. Xelhua defeated KUSHIDA via disqualification, and Austin Aries teamed with Trevor Lee to beat Ángel de Oro & Máscara Dorada. In the Cinco de Mayo tournament action Esfinge overcame Titán, and Bárbaro Cavernario and Difunto were set to face Diego Hill, Bishop Dyer, Donovan Dijak & Ikuro Kwon in additional tournament-related matches.
