Cody Rhodes Names CM Punk as His “All-Time” Dream Match

WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes told ESPN that a match against CM Punk is his all-time dream bout, calling it “probably myself versus CM Punk” while acknowledging how difficult it would be to arrange. Rhodes said the likelihood of it happening is uncertain, noting modern wrestling’s collaborative nature and that he isn’t sure whether Punk—or even he himself—would want to pursue the matchup.

The comments follow an on-screen interaction between Rhodes and Punk on the April 20 episode of Monday Night RAW during the buildup to WrestleMania 42, where Rhodes retained over Randy Orton and Punk dropped the World Heavyweight Title to Roman Reigns. While Rhodes believes the matchup would be great for wrestling, WWE has not announced plans to make the match a reality.
