Cody Rhodes Purchases and Donates Wrestling Ring to SGW Uganda
WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes has purchased and donated a professional wrestling ring to Soft Ground Wrestling (SGW) Uganda, the promotion announced on social media. The new ring is already being used to train and develop the next generation of Ugandan wrestlers, replacing the promotion’s earlier “soft mud” setup and marking a major facility upgrade.
Rhodes had previously promised the donation, and SGW’s announcement confirms the commitment has come to fruition, following the promotion’s rise to prominence through viral match clips. The donation follows earlier support from Will Ospreay, who reportedly contributed around $2,000 a few years ago to help sustain the promotion.
