Cody Rhodes Says Nintendo Issued a “Very Kind” Cease-and-Desist Over Triforce Boots
Cody Rhodes, a longtime fan of The Legend of Zelda, revealed on his podcast What Do You Wanna Talk About? that he used to wear the Triforce symbol on his boots because the trifecta of courage, power and wisdom aligned with his mindset and wrestling persona. He explained the personal meaning the icon held for him and why he felt it was fitting ring gear symbolism.
Rhodes also confirmed he had to stop using the logo after receiving what he called a “very kind cease and desist” from Nintendo, acknowledging the company’s intellectual property rights and saying he respected the request while appreciating the polite approach.
