Cody Rhodes Sees Hollywood Move as a ‘Definite Natural Extension’ but Isn’t Rushing

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes told The Rich Eisen Show that moving into Hollywood would be a “definite natural extension” of his storytelling work, citing examples like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Dave Bautista, John Cena and even Terry Funk. Rhodes, who studied acting at the Howard Fine Acting School and appears in the upcoming Street Fighter film due this October, said he enjoyed the experience and wants to explore acting outside the ring.

Despite the interest, Rhodes emphasized he’s not in a hurry to leave wrestling, noting the responsibility of carrying the top title and that there are still matches he wants to have in WWE. Keeping the Undisputed Championship is his immediate goal, and he’s scheduled to defend the title against Gunther at Clash in Italy on May 31, 2026.
