Curtis Axel Arrested in Minnesota After McDonald’s Drive-Thru Incident

Former WWE star Curtis Axel (Joseph Hennig) was arrested in Anoka County, Minnesota on May 17 following an incident at a McDonald’s drive-thru in St. Francis. Court records show Axel faces multiple charges including DWI for refusing a chemical test, failing to stop for an accident, obstructing the legal process, having an open container of alcohol, and disorderly conduct; he was released from custody on May 19. Police say a vehicle backed into another in the drive-thru, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol and bloodshot, watery eyes, and discovered a 750 mL open bottle of vodka in the front passenger footwell; authorities allege Axel resisted officers, used profane language and a slur, and refused testing.

The two DWI-related counts are listed as gross misdemeanors.
