Dave Meltzer Clarifies Report on WWE Speculation Regarding AEW’s Paramount TV Deal
Dave Meltzer offered follow-up details to his earlier report that WWE higher-ups were speculating Paramount might not renew All Elite Wrestling’s media-rights agreement. Meltzer emphasized the discussion was backstage speculation among WWE executives rather than confirmation of any decision by Paramount or AEW.
The update has intensified industry chatter about AEW’s broadcast future, but Meltzer stressed there are no official announcements and any negotiations remain private. WWE, AEW and Paramount have not issued public statements confirming the claims.
