Dawn Marie: Torrie Wilson Suggested Involving Her Real Father in WWE Angle
Dawn Marie revealed on the Going Ringside podcast that it was Torrie Wilson’s idea to bring Torrie’s real-life father, Al Wilson, into their early-2000s WWE storyline. The controversial angle saw Marie begin an on-screen relationship with Al Wilson, which eventually led to an on-television wedding.
Marie credited Torrie with proposing the concept and reflected on how the storyline blurred the lines between reality and kayfabe, remaining one of the era’s most talked-about female angles.
