Death Riders vs. The Opps Added to AEW Double or Nothing Buy-In
AEW announced Thursday that a trios match has been added to the Buy-In pre-show for Sunday’s Double or Nothing: Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta) will face The Opps’ trio of Hook, Katsuyori Shibata & Anthony Bowens. The addition brings the pre-show to three matches and joins an already stacked pay-per-view card featuring title matches and Owen Hart Tournament bouts.
The confrontation stems from Wednesday’s Dynamite/Collision angle, where Bowens came out to aid Shibata against Will Ospreay and the Death Riders answered the call to back Ospreay, leading to Ospreay’s victory and a heated exchange with Samoa Joe ahead of their Double or Nothing matchup. The trios bout adds extra intrigue to a night that includes Darby Allin vs. MJF in a title vs. hair match, Okada vs. Takeshita for the International Championship, and multiple Owen Hart Tournament matches.
