El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. will put the AAA Latin American Championship on the line against El Hijo del Vikingo on May 30, 2026, at Arena Monterrey, the match announced during the May 2 live episode of AAA on Fox in a backstage segment with Dorian Roldán, Vikingo and Omos. Wagner captured the title in August 2025 from El Mesías and enters the bout after six successful defenses, while Vikingo — coming off a Rey de Reyes loss to Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship — appeared to suffer an apparent injury during an earlier match against Mini Vikingo and was checked by medical staff.

The Noche de Los Grandes card already includes a high-stakes mask vs. mask showdown between El Grande Americano and “The Original” El Grande Americano, with Roldán set to handle the contract signing for Vikingo’s title opportunity.
