Enzo Amore reportedly headed to NXT as talks continue about a Big Cass reunion

WWE is reportedly planning to bring Enzo Amore back to NXT soon, while former tag partner Big Cass — now wrestling as Big Bill and still under AEW contract — has no official return plans, according to the Wrestling Observer. Dave Meltzer noted Enzo’s arrival is the current plan, but said internal discussion about Bill is limited, comparing the situation to Chris Jericho’s on-and-off television status where an absence doesn’t necessarily mean a departure.

Amore has been seen at the WWE Performance Center and WrestleVotes reported WWE interest in reuniting the duo that rose to prominence in NXT before splitting when Cass turned on Enzo. Amore was released in 2018 amid allegations later dropped and has worked the indie scene since; Cass was also released in 2018, battled addiction before finding sobriety, worked TNA in 2021, joined AEW in 2022, and last wrestled in early April during Ring of Honor tapings with Bryan Keith.
