Hiromu Takahashi reportedly eyed for WWE as EVIL debuts as Naraku
Reports indicate Hiromu Takahashi is expected to join WWE, following earlier speculation that both he and EVIL would head to the company. EVIL made his NXT debut as Naraku on the April 28 episode, and WWE filed a trademark for Naraku on May 5, 2026; additional reports from BodySlam+ suggest Takahashi could arrive using the Nox Raijin name WWE filed to trademark on April 28.
Takahashi’s résumé would be a major addition to NXT — he is a four-time Best of the Super Juniors winner (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022), a five-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, and, with Tetsuya Naito, won the 2024 World Tag League and IWGP Tag Team titles. He was also the 2020 Wrestling Observer Newsletter Non-Heavyweight MVP and a member of Los Ingobernables de Japón, voted Best Gimmick in 2017.
