Jacob Fatu Says William Regal Encouraged Him After 2016 WWE Tryout Rejection
Jacob Fatu recalled a moment after a failed WWE tryout in 2016 when then-WWE talent scout William Regal told him to keep going, a conversation Fatu credits with helping him persevere. Fatu ultimately signed with WWE in 2024, spent time affiliated with The Bloodline and is now being pushed as a singles star on the main roster.
The Samoan Werewolf’s past, including a criminal record, has also surfaced on WWE programming and was brought up by Drew during recent segments, adding a layer of controversy to his current run. Fatu’s story is being framed as one of resilience after setbacks, with Regal’s encouragement cited as a turning point in his journey back to WWE.
