Jake Doyle returns to AEW, aligns with Don Callis Family on Dynamite/Collision
Jake Doyle (formerly Jake Something) made a surprise return to AEW on Wednesday’s Dynamite/Collision, rejoining the Don Callis Family by interfering in the four-way between Orange Cassidy, Rush, Lio Rush and Brian Cage. The interference came as Rocky Romero and Lance Archer were targeting Cassidy, and Lio Rush ultimately emerged victorious in the match.
Doyle engaged with Roderick Strong and brawled to the back, a segment that could set up a match on Saturday’s Collision, though no bouts have been announced. Doyle had been sidelined since late January after suffering a torn biceps while teaming with Mark Davis against FTR and reportedly underwent surgery in February before his four-month absence.
