JC Mateo and Tonga Loa Moved to WWE Alumni Amid Post‑WrestleMania Cuts
JC Mateo (formerly Jeff Cobb) and Tonga Loa have been listed in WWE’s Alumni section, confirming their departures as part of the company’s post‑WrestleMania roster cuts. Reporter Bryan Alvarez noted on X that the moves include other names such as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day and that some cuts were made earlier but announced only recently.
Tonga Loa, who previously wrestled as Camacho and returned to WWE at Backlash 2024, last appeared on the April 13 edition of Raw teaming with Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga in a loss to LA Knight and The Usos. Mateo, who spent years in NJPW as Jeff Cobb before debuting for WWE at Backlash 2025, last wrestled on the April 24 SmackDown in a tag loss to Damian Priest and R‑Truth; neither name appeared on the following Friday’s SmackDown.
