Jim Ross Outlines How AEW Can Make Darby Allin a Credible World Champion
Legendary commentator Jim Ross has weighed in on what All Elite Wrestling needs to do to establish Darby Allin as a believable world champion during his first run with the title. Ross emphasized smart booking — meaningful defenses, strong opponents, and clear storytelling — to protect Allin’s unique character while building championship legitimacy.
Ross also urged AEW to pace Allin’s reign to allow organic growth, using veteran challengers to lend credibility without squashing his persona, and to avoid overexposure that could dilute the title’s value. The right mix of credible wins and compelling rivalries, Ross argues, will determine whether Allin’s reign elevates both his legacy and the AEW World Championship.
