Jimmy Hart Says Bret Hart Was Offered a Different WWE Gimmick Before Hart Foundation
WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart revealed that Bret Hart was initially pitched a different character by WWE before the formation of the Hart Foundation. According to Hart, plans for an alternate gimmick were on the table early in Bret’s career but did not come to fruition.
Hart’s comments shed new light on the creative direction WWE considered for one of wrestling’s most respected technicians and underscore how different choices could have altered Bret Hart’s legacy. The revelation adds context to the Hart Foundation’s eventual rise and the career path Bret ultimately followed.
