Konosuke Takeshita Wins AEW International Title, Then Betrayed by Kyle Fletcher

Konosuke Takeshita dethroned faction-mate Kazuchika Okada at AEW Double or Nothing to capture the AEW International Championship, ending Okada’s 317-day reign. Takeshita sealed the victory after hitting a Rainmaker on Okada, following up with a dropkick and a running knee before putting Okada away with a raging fire, marking his second run with the title and his first since March 2025.

After the match Don Callis joined Okada, Rocky Romero and Mark Davis in the ring and tensions flared over Takeshita’s earlier attacks. Returning from a March meniscus injury, Kyle Fletcher embraced Takeshita before turning on him with a clothesline and a brainbuster, snatching the spotlight and making it clear he’s coming for the International Title in the aftermath of a rivalry that dates back to last December’s Worlds End rematch.
