Paul Wight Names Kenny Omega, Darby Allin as AEW Dream Opponents Ahead of Expected In-Ring Return
On Under The Mat With Simon Miller, Paul Wight praised the current crop of wrestlers — singling out Will Ospreay’s work ethic — and reflected on a career that has seen him rub shoulders with legends from Flair and Hogan to Bret Hart. He called today’s men’s and women’s talent an “influx” of athletic, diversified performers that keep the business evolving.
Wight singled out Kenny Omega as someone he’d love to either tag with or face, and said a heel program against Darby Allin would be “ridiculous,” even invoking an old-school post‑stretch slam image when imagining the match. He also provided a physique update — currently 393 lbs and targeting 360 lbs — and reiterated plans to return to the ring for AEW before retiring.
