Longtime WWE Producer Gavin O’Shea Laid Off After 25 Years

Veteran WWE producer and director Gavin O’Shea announced on LinkedIn that he was laid off after a quarter-century with the company, part of a recent round of cuts affecting both on-screen talent and behind-the-scenes staff. In his post O’Shea reflected on the unexpected change, the challenge to his identity, and lessons about resilience, and his announcement drew support from industry figures including writer Dave Lagana and former commentator Arda Ocal.

O’Shea’s LinkedIn notes he graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2001 with a communications degree, interned at NBC’s Today show for four months, and then joined WWE as a production manager, where he remained for 25 years. He said he’s taking time to reflect and reset while inviting connections and opportunities as he begins his next chapter.
