Maven says Fit Finlay practical joke left him with a permanent scar after Survivor Series 2024
Maven recalled a brutal backstage segment at Survivor Series 2024 in which Gene Snitsky attacked him ahead of their match, leaving Maven with a visibly bleeding head and memorable damage that carried through the night. The incident became part of the show’s narrative, but Maven says the lasting mark on his forehead has a different origin.
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Maven revealed that a practical joke by veteran Fit Finlay was responsible for the permanent scar, describing the rib as one that stuck with him long after the cameras stopped rolling. He reflected on the physical and emotional realities of those moments in wrestling and how a single prank can leave a lasting reminder.

WWE Not Ending Celebrity Involvement Anytime Soon
A new report from Fightful Select indicates WWE is “extremely happy” with the celebrity appearances at WrestleMania 42 and does not plan to end its focus on celebrity involvement anytime soon. While the company expects a reduction in the raw volume of celebrity spots after WrestleMania, sources say additional celebrity participation is planned in the coming months, including this summer; Tom Brady was reportedly contacted about potential involvement, though it’s unclear why nothing materialized.
Celebrities featured at WrestleMania 42 included Jelly Roll, IShowSpeed, Lil Yachty, and Pat McAfee, with Yachty also appearing on the post–WrestleMania SmackDown where he was attacked by Sami Zayn in a Gingerbread Man costume; Trick Williams later remarked he wasn’t sure if Yachty would be okay following the angle. Tony Khan Compares Omega–Okada Rivalry to The Godfather Films
AEW President Tony Khan likened the storied rivalry between Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada to watching the first two Godfather films, highlighting the feud’s cinematic quality and its deep roots in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Khan emphasized how the long-running series of matches feels like a sweeping, multi-act saga rather than a single storyline.
He noted the rivalry’s evolution from NJPW into broader cross-promotional narratives, calling it layered and epic as both men continue to add new chapters to their legacy. Fans can expect the feud to remain a centerpiece whenever the two cross paths inside the ring.
